Louis Ghost di Philippe Starck by Kartell, 10° compleanno per la sedia Fantasma

Il successo universale della sedia Louis Ghost non viene dalla progettazione, ma dalla memoria comune. La Louis Ghost è stata elaborata dal nostro subconscio collettivo, è soltanto il risultato naturale del nostro passato, del nostro presente e del nostro futuro. Questo è ciò che afferma Starck al party milanese organizzato per i festeggiamenti.

La Sedia Louis Ghost è stata introdotta nel 2002 ed è una continuazione dell'uso del resistente policarbonato da parte di Kartell una delle più note aziende di design industriale. Con tecnologie innovative utilizza materiali come il polipropilene, il polistirene e il polietilene proponendo la plastica in alternativa al vetro per la sua leggerezza, resistenza ed economicità.

La sedia è stata disegnata da Philippe Starck Patrick (nato il 18 gennaio 1949 a Parigi) product designer francese e, probabilmente, il miglior designer noto in New Design.

Una seduta in policarbonato trasparente e colorato in Stile Luigi XVI è il miglior esempio riuscito al mondo d'iniezione del policarbonato in un unico stampo.

Louis Ghost è stabile e resistente anche agli agenti atmosferici, infatti viene proposta anche come arredo da esterno. Il costo di una singola si aggira intorno ai 200 euro.

In un arredamento che vuole coniugare antico e moderno io credo sia perfetta, la sua trasparenza permette di alleggerire qualsiasi ambiente, di valorizzare una bel tavolo vittoriano piuttosto che una scrivania Impero.

Esiste anche una versione baby per i più piccoli, la Lou Lou Ghost. 

Infine, vorrei fare una precisazione, ho trovato sparsi nel web tantissimi articoli dedicati alla Louis Ghost e, ahimè, tutti quelli che ho letto riportano sempre lo stesso errore!!!

L'errore riguarda lo Stile della sedia, c'è chi lo definisce "barocco", chi lo definisce "rococò", chi ancora "Luigi XV", beh, nessuno di questi termini ha nulla a che vedere con le linee disegnate da Philippe Starck e, se vogliamo proprio parlare di terminologia corretta, dobbiamo parlare di "classico", "neoclassico" e "Luigi XVI".

A questo punto, mi sorge un dubbio però, non è che l'errore l'ha fatto lo stesso designer quando ha presentato il progetto? :)
